Beta

The iMeshh Pro docs are in beta β€” we update them as the product evolves. Some screenshots and details may be slightly out of date. If anything here doesn't match what you see in the app, what's in the app is right. Spot something off? Let us know.

Getting the Blender add-on & desktop app

Where to download the free iMeshh Blender add-on, the Blender Bridge, and the desktop app; which one you need; how to install the add-on in Blender 4.2 or newer and keep it up to date with the extension repository; and why none of them need a paid plan.

Updated 15 August 2026

Everything you install on your own computer β€” the Blender add-on, the Blender Bridge, and the desktop app β€” lives on one page: Download, at pro.imeshh.com/download. All three are free to install on any plan, including free accounts and trials.

Which one do I need?

They're three separate things, so pick the one that matches how you work:

What it doesNeeds
iMeshh asset add-on for BlenderBrowse the whole iMeshh library and import assets from inside Blender's sidebar. Sign in with your pro.imeshh.com or shop.imeshh.com account. No desktop app needed.Blender 4.2 or newer
iMeshh Bridge for BlenderA tiny add-on that lets the desktop app send a downloaded asset straight into Blender with one click β€” Send to Blender, Append, Apply, Replace.Blender 3.6 or newer, plus the desktop app
iMeshh Pro desktop appRun projects, clients and delivery natively, download assets into organised folders, and send them to Blender through the Bridge.Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit). macOS and Linux coming soon

Add-on or Bridge? If you mostly work in Blender and want the library inside Blender, install the add-on. If you browse and download in the desktop app and want one-click sends into Blender, install the Bridge. Plenty of people use both.

Do I need a paid plan?

No. Installing the add-on, the Bridge, or the desktop app never needs a subscription. What you can download through them follows the same rules as the website:

  • Free assets β€” the ones with a FREE badge β€” download on any plan, including a free account
  • Paid assets need Lite or above. On a free account they show Subscribe to Download instead of Download

See Subscriptions & access for the plan comparison and Downloading assets for how downloads work.

Installing the Blender add-on

  1. On the Download page, find iMeshh asset add-on for Blender and click Download add-on. Keep the .zip zipped β€” don't unpack it.
  2. In Blender, go to Edit β†’ Preferences β†’ Get Extensions, open the arrow (dropdown) menu in the top-right corner, choose Install from Disk…, and pick the zip.
  3. Open the 3D viewport sidebar (press N), open the iMeshh tab, and sign in.

Sign in with your pro.imeshh.com email and password, or with Google (a quick browser step). If you came from the old shop, your shop.imeshh.com login also works here. See Signing in to the Blender add-on for the details and what to do if a login is rejected.

Add iMeshh as an extension repository and Blender updates the add-on for you, alongside its other extensions:

  1. In Blender, go to Edit β†’ Preferences β†’ Get Extensions β†’ Repositories, click +, and choose Add Remote Repository.
  2. Paste https://pro.imeshh.com/repo as the location and confirm. The Download page has a Copy button for it.
  3. Search the extension list for iMeshh and click Install.

The version badge next to the add-on's name on the Download page always shows the current release.

Installing the Bridge

Click Download bridge, then in Blender drag the file into the viewport β€” or use Edit β†’ Preferences β†’ Add-ons β†’ Install β€” and make sure iMeshh Bridge is ticked. The connection status in the Asset Library toolbar, updates, and everything the Bridge can do are covered on Blender Bridge, folders & your files.

Installing the desktop app

Click Download for Windows and run the installer. Once installed, the app checks for new versions itself: when one is out, its own Download page shows an Update to v… button, and clicking it updates in place. Updates never happen behind your back.
