Building your tour
Upload panorama images, set a base image per scene, add and reorder scenes, and link them with clickable hotspots.
Updated 24 June 2026
A tour is a set of scenes â one per room or viewpoint â each built on a 360 image. This page covers getting images into the tour, building the scenes, and linking them so visitors can walk between them. Open the tour in the editor first (see the editor layout).
Upload your images
Every scene needs an image. Each tour has its own image library you upload into once, then reuse across scenes.
- Click the Library tab in the right panel.
- Click the upload control and choose one or more image files from your computer.
- Wait for the thumbnails to appear. Uploaded images sit in the library, ready to assign to any scene.
You can upload these image formats:
- JPEG and PNG â the most common
- WebP
- BMP
HDR, EXR, and TIFF are not supported for in-browser upload yet â export equirectangular panoramas as JPEG, PNG, or WebP.
Each uploaded image counts towards your studio's storage. The library supports folders, so you can group images on a large tour and browse them a page at a time.
Build your scenes
Scenes are the stops in your tour. The Scenes panel on the left lists them in the order a visitor moves through them.
- Add a scene â click the add control at the top of the Scenes panel. A new scene appears at the bottom of the list.
- Rename a scene â open the scene and edit its name so you can tell scenes apart while building.
- Reorder scenes â drag a scene up or down by its handle. The order sets which scene a visitor sees first and how the scene strip reads in the viewer.
- Delete a scene â remove a scene you no longer need. This also removes its hotspots.
Set the base image for a scene
The base image is the 360 image a scene is built on â the photo a visitor sees when they arrive in that scene.
- Select a scene in the Scenes panel.
- Click the Base tab in the right panel.
- Pick an image from your library. The viewer updates to show it straight away.
Repeat for every scene. Once each scene has a base image, you can connect them with hotspots.
Link scenes with hotspots
A hotspot is a clickable marker placed inside a scene. When a visitor clicks it, the tour moves to the scene you point it at â this is how visitors walk from the kitchen into the hallway, for example.
Place a hotspot
- Select the scene you want to add a hotspot to.
- Click the Hotspot tab in the right panel.
- Click Place. A blue notice reads "Click on the panorama to place a hotspot".
- Click the spot in the viewer where the marker should sit â usually a doorway or the direction of the next room.
- The hotspot appears in the list and is dropped at that point in the scene.
Edit a hotspot
Click a hotspot in the list to select it. An edit form opens below it:
- Label â an optional caption shown when a visitor points at the marker
- Target Scene â the scene this hotspot jumps to when clicked
- Icon Style â choose Arrow, Circle, Door, or Custom for how the marker looks
- Size â drag the slider to make the marker larger or smaller
Your changes show in the viewer as you make them, so you can check the marker sits where you want before moving on. To remove a hotspot, point at its row in the list and click the trash icon.
