Beta

The iMeshh Pro docs are in beta — we update them as the product evolves. Some screenshots and details may be slightly out of date. If anything here doesn't match what you see in the app, what's in the app is right. Spot something off? Let us know.

Fixing downloads & Blender issues

What to check when a download fails, when the Send to Blender buttons don't appear, when the iMeshh Bridge won't connect, when Replace is greyed out, and how to pick a different resolution after downloading.

Updated 30 June 2026

Most asset problems come down to one of a few things: your plan, your download folder, or the Blender Bridge. Work through the section that matches what you're seeing.

A download fails or shows "Error — Retry"

If the Download button turns into Error — Retry, click it once to put the download back in the queue. Most one-off failures clear on the second try.

If it keeps failing, check these in order:

  1. Check your plan. Paid assets need an active paid plan. If you see Subscribe to Download instead of Download, your account can't download that asset yet. A trial does not grant paid downloads. Assets marked FREE download on any plan.
  2. Check you're signed in. Sign out and back in if the rest of the app is also acting up.
  3. On the desktop app, set a download folder. Open Settings (top-right of the Asset Library) → Folders and confirm a folder is chosen. The app saves downloads there.
  4. Update the desktop app. Open the app's menu and check for an update. Older builds had download and folder problems that newer versions fix.
  5. Check your internet and try once more.

If it still fails after that, contact support through the help bubble in the bottom-right corner and say which asset it is.

The Send to Blender buttons aren't showing

The Append, Link, Apply, Replace, and Set as World actions only appear when three things are all true:

  1. You're on the desktop app (these actions don't exist on the website).
  2. The asset is downloaded to your computer.
  3. Blender is open and the iMeshh Bridge is connected.

If the asset isn't downloaded yet, download it first — the Blender actions appear once the file is on disk.

The Bridge won't connect ("Bridge not connected")

The Bridge is a small Blender add-on that lets the desktop app send assets into Blender. If the toolbar shows grey Bridge not connected:

  1. Open Blender. The Bridge only runs while Blender is open.
  2. Check the add-on is installed and turned on. In Blender, go to Edit → Preferences → Add-ons and search for iMeshh Bridge. Tick its checkbox so it's turned on.
  3. If it isn't listed, install it. Click Bridge not connected in the toolbar to open the Get the iMeshh Bridge window, click Download bridge, then in Blender drag the file into the viewport — or use Edit → Preferences → Add-ons → Install.
  4. Restart Blender if you turned it on but the toolbar still says not connected.

The toolbar updates on its own within a few seconds of Blender starting — you don't need to refresh the page. The Bridge needs Blender 3.6 or newer.

Replace is greyed out

The Replace buttons need a recent version of the Bridge. If Replace is greyed out, your Blender has an older Bridge installed.

When a newer Bridge is available, the toolbar status turns amber and reads Bridge update available. Click it, download the new file, and install it in Blender the same way you installed it the first time (drag into the viewport, or Edit → Preferences → Add-ons → Install). Replace turns on once the new Bridge is connected.

It added a copy instead of replacing

This also points to an old Bridge. Replace for objects swaps your selected objects for the new asset; on an out-of-date Bridge that action can fall back to a plain append. Update the Bridge from the amber Bridge update available status in the toolbar, then try Replace again.

A downloaded asset has no ✓ badge or no Send buttons

The desktop app shows a badge and the Blender actions by matching files in your iMeshh folder. If a downloaded asset doesn't show them:

  1. Check the folder. Open SettingsFolders and confirm the iMeshh folder is the one you expect. If you changed it after downloading, point it back — or download again into the current folder.
  2. Keep the same folder across machines. The badge follows the iMeshh folder, so a different folder on another computer won't show your earlier downloads.
  3. Put the iMeshh folder on a normal local drive (an internal SSD), not a network or cloud-synced drive — those can make scanning slow or unreliable.

I want a different resolution after downloading

Materials come in two download sets: the 1-2-4K set (1k, 2k and 4k together) and a separate 8K set. If you downloaded one and want the other:

  1. Open the material in the Asset Details panel.
  2. Under Resolution, click the set you want. After a material is already downloaded, a button also offers the resolution you don't have yet.

To change which set downloads by default, open SettingsFolders and set your Preferred resolution. That choice applies on both the website and the desktop app.

Sending goes to the wrong Blender window

The Bridge is built for one Blender window at a time. If you have several open, the app sends to the most recently used one. Close the windows you're not using to be sure assets land where you expect.

Still stuck?

Contact support through the help bubble in the bottom-right corner. Tell us the asset name, which one you're using — the website or the desktop app — and what the Bridge status in the toolbar says. That's usually enough to spot the cause.
