Contacts and sharing
The contact detail page — editing a person, contact roles, the invoices and quotes cards, the logo, and sharing a project with a contact.
Updated 23 June 2026
A contact is an individual person — someone who works at a business you bill, or a one-person client. Contacts live on the Contacts tab and each one has its own detail page. This page covers editing a contact, the cards on their page, and sharing a project with them.
To open a contact, click any row on the Contacts tab, or click a person's name in the Contacts list on a business page.
Editing a contact
The contact detail page shows the person's information in a card. Click Edit to change it. The fields include:
- Name, email (required), and an optional split of first name and last name
- Job title and phone
- Business — the company this person works at, picked from your existing businesses
- Billing address — address lines, city, region, postal code, and country, plus VAT and company number
- A separate billing contact name and billing contact email, if invoices should go to a different person
iMeshh Pro reads the contact's address and identifiers when it pre-fills an invoice or quote for that person.
Contact roles
When a contact is linked to a business, a set of role checkboxes appears. Tick the roles the person holds — a person can hold more than one:
- Primary Contact — the default person for the business
- Billing — handles invoices and payment
- Decision Maker
- Project Contact
- Marketing
- Other
Mark one person per business as the Primary Contact so iMeshh Pro knows who to default to.
The contact logo
Each contact can carry their own logo or photo. Point at the logo at the top of the page and click the camera icon to upload one. Accepted types are PNG, JPEG, and WebP, up to 5 MB.
Invoices and Quotes
The contact page shows two money cards.
The Invoices card lists invoices raised for this person, with summary tiles at the top and a table below. Each invoice shows a status badge.
The Quotes card lists quotes (project scopes) prepared for this person. Its summary tiles show Total Quoted, Accepted, and Awaiting, with a table below.
A quote moves through these statuses, shown as a badge in the table:
- Draft — being written
- Ready — finished, not yet sent
- Sent — sent to the client
- Accepted — the client agreed
- Declined — the client said no
- Expired — passed its valid-until date
- Converted — turned into a project
Sharing a project with a contact
You share a project with a contact, not with a business — the person is who opens the shared link. The Shared Projects card on the contact page lists what this person can see and lets you add more.
To share a project:
- Open the contact you want to share with.
- On the Shared Projects card, click Share Project.
- Pick the project from the list.
- Choose what the person can do — view, comment, or approve.
- Confirm to share. The project appears in the Shared Projects list.
The three permission levels are:
- view — the person can see the project and its deliverables
- comment — the person can also leave comments
- approve — the person can also mark deliverables approved
To change a person's permission later, pick a different level on their entry in the Shared Projects card. To stop sharing, remove the entry.
Deleting a contact
Click Delete on the contact page to remove a person. iMeshh Pro asks you to confirm first.
